Time to resurrect my project tread. I did three races this summer and my best time was 9,51. For the last race i made new adjustable rearsets. Made them so low that i can keep the heels on the pegs and still have the toes on the ground.

Time for some naked pictures. Things to do this winter is:
Move the battery to the front of the bike.
Remove front lights to make space for battery, paint/decal lights on plastic to keep "stock" look.
Re-tune carbs for E-85.
Remove oil cooler.
Make a new electric "central" under the seat area.
Disassemble engine for a check over.
Maybe hayabusa pistons and bandit cylinders.
Make a quick access cover for the clutch.
New boost controller.
Some sort of data logger.

Left side isn't finished yet, more material is going to be removed.

Right side almost finished. New ISR brake cylinder. The stock one was so big and hideous.

My homemade start/shift/kill box. Controls my start/shift light and quick-shift.

Are you going to move the oil cooler or remove it completely?

If you are going to completely remove the oil cooler you'll find that sump plugs for most Citroens will block off the oil-line feeds very nicely!

Very nice project indeed! What does it mean to rejet carb to E85 (change mainjet ? ) and why you can run 1,5 bar?  Huh

Yea time for some updates. During the winter I have disassemble the engine for a check over. It has run about 10000km and I have never checked the bottom end before. The bearings and gearbox looked almost like new so I only painted it and assembled it with new gaskets and heavy duty studs.

I painted the engine with Biltema (Swedish low price store) engine paint and it looked nice and shiny until I discovered that gasoline dissolves it Angry I will repaint it sometime in the future.

The oil cooler has been removed and looped instead.

Have moved the battery to the front and replaced it with a smaller one.

Most of the electric stuff has been moved to the rear.

Was planning to mold fiberglass over the holes left after the lights and oil cooler. But due to lack of time they were cover with lexan and alu mesh instead.

So far this year I have only done one race. The weather was bad so I did only four runs. The best time was 9,6s / 255 kmh so the bike works good. To the next race I'm planning to buy a wide band lambda and rejet the carbs to E85.

E85 is an ethanol based fuel-85% ethanol 15% gasoline which is supposedly great for hi-po turbo motors its hi octane (105 i think) cool burning BUT requires jet increases in the order of 25-35% this is because when it burns it has a lower BTU rating than regular/race gasoline but if you can get it running right it does have advantages in the US of A it is very popular on V8 turbo muscle/drag cars
Oh yeah and of course you get the "green" cudos of using a Bio-Fuel Grin

Shoot a little onboard film when I was re-jetting my bike to E85 yesterday. It was shoot an old air-field and it was pretty slippery, wheel spin in the first three gears.
