Yea, according to the entry list to last years Midnight Sun Internationals (biggest race here in northern Sweden) there was:

8 Streetbikes                       (bracket racing)
18 Supergas Bikes               (9,5 sek index)
16 Pro Street Bikes               (60" NA & 59" Turbo)
2 Super Pro Street Bikes       (68")
2 Pro Twin Bikes
1 Funny Bike
4 Super Twin TG Bikes

Dragracing isn't exactly the biggest sport here in Sweden  cry

I noticed you have cut the cross member out of the frame right under the exhaust ports where the turbo/headers are.... why? Strictly for turbo install/clearance?

hey TG I've also done this, needed to provide extra clearencefor the header. Mind you the header I've used was from a slingy, that said I welded in a new crossbar between the slab front engine mounts.

Yea it's for clearance. The only way to get the turbo high enough for gravity oil return and clear the front wheel.

Was there any concern about weakening the frame? Especially considering that you are putting double the power down that the frame was designed for?

I whas bothered with that same question to, i didn,t had the guts to remove that bracket thats why i placed my kkk under oillevel and made the pick-up vacuum oildrain system.

If you can place your td higher then oillevel that would be the  perfect route, i will save you from headaches.
Oildrain system that i use is perfect but the road to a perfect system can be a pain in the ass.

Been there  Grin

I would much rather have a tougher route to proper scavenging than have to cut my frame (again/some more), or place the turbo very close to the front wheel.

Mounting it lower will make it easier to route the boost pipe, and easier to fabricate the header. I think I will go this route.

I have some questions regarding the reed-style vacuum scavenge.... will start a thread in Forced Induction...

Cheers,

TG

Cutting the cross member has been many times before and I have never heard of anyone having any problems with it. This part of the frame isn't really the most important for the overall strength.

@R1100;

I have some fuelling problems since I used your method for the dynamic boost and vaccuum...what size lines have you used for the dynamic boost?

And what size mains are you using?

Thanks,
Richard

I made my pitot removable. The tube is 8mm outside diam and the opening is 4mm. Then it's plastic tubing to the carbs (6mm outside, 4mm inside) and they split with a T-connector just before the carbs. Now i cant find the note where i written the jet sizes down, but everything is pretty close to stock.
