Update June 28th
28. Jun 2007 at 21:00

Not many updates recently as I was waiting for the frame to return from powdercoating which as it turns out won't be happening before I go on holiday for two weeks on Saturday cry
So before I submerge myself in a feeling of guilt I headed into my garage (project is no longer at BikePenR) and finished the clamp for the rear brake anchor.
Took me a while to realise that I didn't need specialised machinery to do the job so I went at it with the Black&Decker and Dremel...

The seat now looks like this Shocked

After much thought back and forth on how to go about with the seat I decided on a recipy of PUR-foam covered with fibreglass, with a thin layer of foam for comfort and some vinyl to finish it off.

Gonna have much fun shaping this Wink
And if I fuck it up I can just cut it off and pour on some new foam.

And the derriere...

Top job Paul @ PDF!!!

Especially considered the only instructions I gave were: "here is the bodywork and here is the link to the pictures it should look like" Tongue
(and not to prepare it too much as I want to keep a rough edge to the bike)

watched this from start and the hours/work/help/donations/blood sweat and tears that has gone into this so far (and its not over yet)
makes knarfs gs memorial bike a very special and well constructed
tool of delights to be looked upon by the young`uns in awe

it just goes to show that this site is`not just any old site of drivel and tripe.

but a working and living community that helps and advices (sometimes tongue in cheek) sometimes ripping the pee)

and the results can be seen here and throughout every one who  has helped each other along the way......

well done

ps . i have`nt been drinking... thats tomorrow afternoon

Looks good,Patrick.
But if you need something machined and there's no time or so at Bike PnR you know where to find me....

I echo Arian...this project brings a lump to my throat and then a smile to my face...F A N T A S T I C work...most on here know how bloody difficult it is to actually make a project as big as this happen....nothing is ever as simple as you think...and to fabricate to this standard needs skill and lots of dedication...I have enjoyed it so much so far...and I can't wait to see that frame powdered !!!...always my favourite bit...it means you are close to finished and it's the final wet build with any luck..."great"  Grin.
