first off phil........ pm ya.

bit of confusion at my end here, what the hell is different about the following two turbos? Seem the same from the numbers but the second one has this second diaphram on the compressor housing, whats with that?

320024825978   TD04HL-16T

320033901970   TD04HL-16T-6 do you think I could add a boost controller to this waste gate actuator?

would appreciate any help.

The only difference I know about of td04's is that some have the exhaust housing at an angle, and some have em straight.
I have a straight one

Thanks Richard, I suppose the angled one might be better for aligning the exhaust...

What does the diaphram do on the compressor do?

Not the wastegate actuator, I got that part at least I hope I do........ I'm wondering about the diaphram on the outlet of the compressor, what the hell?

and by the way this is the beast its all going on.

I'm guessing the diphragm is a basic Blow Off Valve? Sort of in the wrong place really as
by the time the boost has spiked and pressure gets back to the compressor its bent all
the butterflies anyway undecided

well I bought it TDO4HL-16T-6 Smiley new off e#$% also scored a set of carrillos... so if anyone wants the busa rods the line up starts behind Phil? i think

cool about the priority breather, thought it might do that as there are rebuild kits for that diaphram out there that make it look like a bypass...... so is it a priority or a blowoff or both? guess I'll know in a few days.

the list of needed parts is shrinking, whats left:
fuel pump
swing arm extentions
manual boost control valve
boost gauge/fuel presure gauge
oil temp/oil pressure gauge
AF meter
vacuun hose
Exhaust pipe
head cooler/fan
remote oil filter
rewire (third time)

none turbo related:
seat pad (s) need to pack the new girl
seat subframe
battery box/undertray
mod trick tail for two up
remote oil filter
mod front fairing (pull back 1 to 2 inches)
custom belly pan (maybe)
powder coating
new coat of matt black

and hell probably another 100 things I've forgotten

its a blow off valve it just doesnt go to air it reciculates the air back into the throat of the turbine you will see when you get it
